Beverly SchmockerBeverly Schmocker has been the coordinator of numerous national and international GI oncology clinical trials at MSH since 1992. Currently, a prospective, multicentre, randomized clinical trial with Dr. Steven Gallinger as the principal investigator is being conducted to assess the impact of PET Scans prior to liver resection.

Additional studies include:

  • A novel approach for the treatment of Unresectable Hilar Cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer).  Patients are treated with high doses of chemo/radiation, followed by a  liver transplant.
  • The impact of Primovist MRI imaging prior to liver resection fro metastatic colorectal cancer following chemotherapy treatment.
  • Novel therapy utilizing Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) of large liver tumors in patients undergoing liver resection for metastatic colorectal cancer.
  • A Phase 11 study of Perioperative Chemotherapy plus Panitumumab in patients with colorectal cancer liver metastases.
