Poster of Distinction Award
October 2019 - North American Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition Annual Meeting

Dr. Carol Durno won a Poster of Distinction Award at the North American Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition Annual Meeting in Chicago, Illinois, October 2019. This international study showed that patients undergoing surveillance with upper endoscopy and colonoscopy have better outcomes compared to patients who present with symptoms. Low grade lesions are identified at stages amenable to resection. This is the first study to show that surveillance affects survival in patients with two Lynch mutations.
