Senior Genetic Counsellor
![]() She was promoted to Senior Genetic Counsellor in 1999 for the FGICR and took on active roles in the Genetic Counselling Program at the University of Toronto as a clinical supervisor, co-director of the Cancer Genetics Course for the 2nd year student, and a member of the admission interview panel. Melyssa continues her role in those areas and working with families that have hereditary GI cancer syndromes and associated cancers.
She has a special interest in hereditary gastric cancer and is a founding member of the International Biallelic Mismatch Repair Consortium. She is an American (ABGC) and Canadian (CAGC) Certified Genetic Counsellor.
